MRF (Magneto Rheological Fluid)

In recent years, there are magneto rheological fluids (MRF) used in advanced materials that make up the suspension system of some high-class European and American automobiles. MRFs are functional fluids whose viscosity has been rapidly changed upon application of a magnetic field.
Kurimoto, in cooperation with universities, has successfully created an MRF that makes use of metallic nanoparticles. Progress is being made in the development of ground-breaking products that make use of this new MRF.
